We woke up at a decent hour and made sure the shuttle would be ready to take us back to the airport (or we could walk across the street). Then, we went to the enormous breakfast buffet the hotel provides. It’s a business hotel and makes sure its guests are well fed. Really well fed. We ate a lot of deli meats, scrambled eggs, cereal, toast, sausages, and various juices. We headed to the airport and found the ticket counter. The lady couldn’t find our reservation. I told her what time our place was supposed to leave and they said they didn’t have a flight that left then. My brain was just about to aneurism when she realized we were on a different airline and sent us to the right place. Thankfully. Whew. We made it through security without any problems and then D.Rough decided she needed to blow through the rest of her Euros and buy family and friends presents.
We had a recognizeable meal on the plane on the way to Amsterdam, which was actually quite nice. Chicken is fairly hard to screw up, even on a plane.
Some people are jerks and like to take photos while other people are sleeping...
We made it back to Amsterdam without issues and continued the rest of our journey back to Minnesota without issue.
I had to claim the ring we had purchased when we went through customs and then had to pay some VAT tax to make it official. But we made it back into the country with a new ring and new fiancés. Hoooray. Now back to real life…
...Now... ...How do we pay for this wedding?...
